Books: Fighting Insomnia Autumn

Fighting Insomnia Autumn
Autumn is on the way and with it long and dark nights, lying awake in bed, getting up again to get a good book and spending the night reading. It's the season of tea, cacao and blankets in order to snuggle up to your pillow.

Lately I developed quite an passion for young adult novels, basically because they are all different and still all similar: With the naive words you can only put in a teen's mouth they offer a unique perspective and still there are so many different genres inside the young adult world. In the following weeks, I will introduce to you four novels about four different subjects that I loved, so get your favorite pillow, your favorite blanket, some tea and find your new favorite book!
Glass Of Throne by Sarah J. Maas
Enslaved by the enemy, young Celaena is given a chance to fight to get her freedom back, but while together with a competition that could change her life two men appear in her world, she has to fight against what turns out to be not human and goes back to the routes of the kingdom to help the people.
The young, strong and confident protagonist is lovely and so is Maas' fast-paced writing style that offers lots of suspense. Also, it's not too focused on violence but not only Celaena has a passion for books plus the end is quite interesting.
It's sad that at no point the protagonist shows fear which seems unreal and also could've created even more suspense. It would be nice for the reader to find out more about the fantasy world's history which could seem more interesting if it contained of more details.
Sometimes, the novel reminds the reader of a love story set around 17-something, and sometimes, it's similar to other Fantasy hits like "Hunger Games". It's so great to have a strong protagonist who falls in love but wouldn't give up her own dreams for her love and the fast writing style makes the novel super thrilling!
